Interview with Sole Inspirer - Jennifer Moretz
Let’s meet Jennifer Moretz.
Jennifer is a wife, mom of two, and a former school teacher turned MOMPRENEUR. Jennifer has a passion to help others change their lives physically, being the best version of themselves and financially, teaching others how to dream BIG no matter how big or small their goals are.
SI | Jennifer, can you tell us how you became a Mompreneur?
Jennifer | I stayed at home with my 2 kids the first seven years and when my youngest went off to school, I went back to work as a teacher. It was back to the real world, so I wasn’t living in the gym or the kitchen anymore and stress kicked in and so did the pounds. I was frustrated because the traditional eating and exercising wasn’t working anymore. I was at the salon one day sharing my frustrations and my stylist shared with me the nutritional system she was familiar with. I went home and googled the heck out of it and couldn’t find anything wrong with it. I figured what the heck, I have 30 days to try it and I loved the system, so the rest is history.
SI | So your love for the nutritional system is what jump started you to sell the product ?
Jennifer | Yes, friends and family started to ask what I was doing, as they could see a transformation in my body. So I then decided I would share with friends, family and co-workers. I originally just wanted to sell enough to get my money back and then over the course of a year, I was able to replace my income as a teacher. Seeing the transformation in others was amazing.
SI | Based on one of your social media post, I see that this way of life is not just for you, but your family. How did you get your family engaged?
Jennifer | Honestly, they saw me happy and living my best life and well it can become contagious. It's an everyday lifestyle. Not a death sentence. Do I still eat pizza? Yep! Do I still have Mexican food? Heck Yes!! Do I have a glass of wine or one of my fave Tito skinny drinks every now and again? Darn right I do! It's all about balance and super easy to get back on track. End the vicious yo yo cycle for good! When people see other people happy and feeling well, most of the time they want the same. It all happened organically.
SI | What are the 3 most important lessons that you’ve learned from embarking on this journey?
Jennifer | I've learned that no matter what age you are it's NEVER too late to be the best version of yourself. It's not about being a size 2 or having a 6 pack. It's about loving the skin you're in and wearing it with confidence. I've also learned that failing forward in life is the only way you will grow. Failure is a temporary detour, not a dead end street. As Tom Watson says, "If you want to succeed double your failure rate". My motto is I fall down 7 times and stand back up 8! Just NEVER give up! Lastly, I've learned that life is too short to settle for status quo. I went to college to be a teacher. Yes, I love teaching others and I love children, but I also love being fulfilled and to me that is the most important part of happiness. I wasn't fulfilled before, but now my cup is so FULL and most days overflowing!
SI | What advice would you give someone who’s having a hard time finding their get up and go?
Jennifer | Well it's really all about being ready for a health journey of any kind. How bad do you want it? Many people "want it" but don't want it bad enough to work for it. They give up on themselves too easily, especially when their goal(s) don't come quick enough. So I love having people set small goals so they don't seem so far off and then also set their large goal (ultimate goal...that really hairy, scary goal you don't believe you can achieve) and I always revert them back to their WHY. Why they started? Why they are doing this? Being positive is super important also. I know we all have bad days every now and again, but our attitude affects whether we have a good day or a bad day, so speaking it into the universe is super important! Yes, even on those bad days!
SI | What keeps you motivated?
Jennifer | WOW! Great question!!! I have several things that keep me motivated, but first and foremost the thousands of people on my Team I coach keep me motivated! If I'm not getting out of my comfort zone, how can I expect them to? If I'm not staying on track, how can I coach them to? If I'm not showing up, why on earth would I think they will?
My family also keeps me motivated. I love being together and spending quality time together when our crazy schedules allow us to.
And of course Contests and Challenges motivate me! No one wants to lose at anything! Ha! Especially this girl! I always love a friendly competition. haha
SI | What would you say is your Super Power?
Jennifer | Tenacity is probably what I'd have to say is my Super Power! Never giving up and failing is NOT part of my language. Even if I finish last...I still finished and won't ever give up!
SI | Is there a favorite scripture, mantra or inspirational phrase that you think of, when you need some encouragement?
Jennifer | Definitely one of my top fave scriptures on those days when I need some encouragement is Philippians 4:13 "I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me." Love it!!! Repeat...Repeat...Repeat!!!!
SI | If someone wanted to learn more about the nutritional system you use or to become a part of your team, how would they go about this?
Jennifer | They can find me on Facebook under Jennifer Shawver Moretz and send me a private message, or on Instagram under jennifer_shawver_moretz, or they can contact you and you can connect us. I share a short informational video before we chat and discuss their goals whether it's physical or financial related or both and go from there. Super simple!
SI | Jennifer, thank you for your time and for sharing your journey with us.
